Giovanni Acciai (ITA)

Born in 1946, is professor of musical palaeography at Conservatory "Giuseppe Verdi" in Milan. He studied organ, choral conducting and composition, specializing in the musical palaeography and philology at the University of Pavia. Acciai is not only well-known author of numerous scientific articles, but also editor of the journal for history, art and culture "L' Offerta musicale".

He is well known as juror at the most important national and international competitions and is often invited to speak on topics of musicology at conferences and master classes in Italy and abroad.

Prof. Giovanni Acciai is artistic director from the outset at the "Concorso Internazionale Chorale "  and currently artistic and musical director of the ensembles "Solisti del madrigale" and “Nova ars cantandi ".

Ivo Antognini (SUI)

born, 1963 is a Swiss composer and described as „an important new voice“ by The American Organist Magazine, the most widely- read journal devoted to organ and choral music in the world. He is a professor of ear training and piano at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano.

His choral works have won awards in many national and international choral composition events, and are performed all over the world by first-rate choirs.

He is the composer-in-residence for the world-class children‘s choir Coro Calicantus.

In July 2012, Antognini was invited by the American Choral Directors Association to present his choral music at the 7th World Choir Games in Cincinnati OH, USA, where he was one of the adjudicators.

Nelson Kwei (SIN)

Nelson Kwei is an international acclaimed conductor, conservatorium lecturer, editorial advisor, international adjudicator, music arranger and vocal clinician in the music scene.

He is a Fellow from the London College of Music, has a Licentiate in singing from the Guildhall School of Music and Advance Post-Graduate in Choral Conducting from the Royal Academy of Music (London). In 2013, Nelson was elected to receive the Associateship from the Royal Academy of Music for his outstanding achievements in choral music.

Currently, he is the Conductor of nine schools, colleges and university and semi-professional choirs in Singapore that has won numerous national and international accolades.

Honoured with the “National Youth Service Award”, the highest Youth Award in Singapore (1993) and internationally recognized and awarded at numerous international competitions for is outstanding artistic achievements and contribution.

Robyn Reeves Lana (USA)

is the Founder, Managing Artistic Director and Conductor of the award winning Cincinnati Children’s Choir (CCC), Ensemble-in-Residence at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM).  Together with CCM, CCC hosted the Chorus America Conducting Masterclass in January 2013. Under her leadership, CCC earned a gold medal in the 2012 World Choir Games.

Lana has directed international, state and regional honor and festival choirs, an international children’s festival choir at Carnegie Hall, and will co-conduct a Chinese/American festival choir in Beijing, China in 2014.

She earned both Bachelor and Master degrees in Music Education from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. With a focus in Choral Conducting, Mrs. Lana earned a Cognate in Voice and has done post-graduate work with Henry Leck at Butler University.

Wolfgang Ziegler (AUT)

born 1949 he was involved in music from his early childhood on. His father, Josef Wolfgang Ziegler, a well-known Austrian composer and choral director taught the first musical steps to him. Singing and playing the violin became his passions.

After finishing high school and pedagogical studies he worked as an assistant in music education at the University of Illinois/USA where he started composing electronic music with Joseph Pinzarrone, Phil Musser and John Cage.

As a professional interlude he joined the Vienna Johann Strauss Orchestra playing violin on a concert tour through Canada and USA.

After he had joined the professional Austrian Radio Choir (ORF-Chor) for some years he focused on conducting and composing choral music. Various pieces have been commissioned by international choirs and festivals. Currently he is the choral director of the VOX HUMANA CHAMBER CHOIR (since 1976).

Ziegler was honoured by quite a number of national and international awards. In 2012 he was elected president of the Austrian Choral Association.
