Breakfast. Today is a day you will remember for a lifetime.

In the morning you can rehearse for the evening concert or book an additional excursion to the world famous Amalfi coast. In that case your guide will take you on a breathtaking drive along the Amalfi coast, one of the most beautiful roads in the world. Each winding turn reveals a dazzling and unforgettable view of the coastline and sea. With villas perched into the rocky coastline and seem to hang from the heavens. Stop in Amalfi, one of the four “Republiche Marinare” of Italy. Devoted to St. Andrew, the Amalfi dome is located at the end of a steep stairs. The façade in polychrome majolica of the 19th century covers a Romanic structure rich in Byzantine and Islamic designs while the interior, strongly re-handled in the 17th and 18th centuries is baroque. The cathedral contains a tomb in its crypt and maintains, and still holds a portion of the relics of St. Andrew. A golden reliquary which originally housed his skull and another one used for processions through Amalfi on holy days can also be seen. The Dome entrance is of the 18th century and it is the result of a remaking of the 1800 and it is called “chiostro del paradiso”, that is the “Paradise cloister”. This cloister is a nice construction in the Arabian style and is made of a peristyle with twin small columns that support sharp arches woven.  Back to Pompeii.

In the afternoon you will visit one of the most important and interesting archaeological museums in the world. This famous ancient city was buried by the ashes of Mt Vesuvius in AD 79. It is a remarkable site. Visit also the famous Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary and learn about the life of the Blessed Bartolo Longo, who built the shrine and dedicated his life to serving orphans and preparing them for careers.

In Pompeii, perform in a special concert together with other festival choirs. Our ultimate goal is to present the concert in the ruins of the ancient city of Pompeii, which is a World Heritage site of UNESCO.  Because of this, we must await official confirmation from the authorities. If not in the ancient ruins, the concert will take place in a wonderful venue such as a beautiful Cathedral in the city centre or a Theatre with a very good acoustic.
